GUILT & SHAME

Guilt and shame is a preoccupation or feeling that we did something wrong or bad. It is an emotion that comes up to cause us to do better then and to do better now. Guilt and shame are thoughts and interpretations about an event that causes an increase in disturbance with an already disturbing event. Guilt is very well intentioned to cause self-improvement, that if we feel bad about what happened, we’ll do better moving forward.

However, feeling bad about a previous event tends to be a barrier to self-improvement. Guilt and shame is the brain’s automatic response to an event and around an event that is no longer happening. RRT shifts the way the brain is processing information so that it clears guilt and shame. With guilt and shame eliminated, individuals no longer have emotional attachment to past events. They are then present and have clarity to see things in the past as they are, which then gives them power to move ahead.

TRAUMATIC GRIEF

Grief is a normal reaction for everyone to experience after loss of a loved one through death. It includes feelings of emptiness, separation, and sadness after the loss. Some people may get stuck in the grieving process and unable to move forward. Unresolved grief has a traumatic impact, energy is drained, and each day can seems impossible to get through, often feeling detached from reality. The emotional pain, preoccupation, and confusion create a barrier to the connection with the loved one. Clearing traumatic grief with RRT eliminates thoughts, feelings, and sensations associated to grief. Through this process, grief and painful emotions are cleared creating connection again.

CHILDHOOD ABUSE

Childhood abuse takes many forms: physical abuse, sexual abuse with or without physical contact, emotional and psychological abuse, and neglect or abandonment. Abuse is abuse no matter if the abuse was big or small, ongoing or a single occurrence. Painful memories from childhood download into the primitive part of our brain like a computer program. Memories continue to affect us in the present, even if there is no conscious memory of the event. The emotions still influence thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and the way we interact with others. Past childhood abuse can cause current situations to be more emotionally charged than usual and carry guilt, shame, or anger. The primitive part of our mind sometimes confuses what happened with what is currently happening. RRT helps the mind understand that these events are what happened in the past and that it is no longer happening. Essentially, RRT helps the subconscious brain better distinguish between the past and the present. The mind will get that no present danger truly exists, releasing the emotional attachment.

ANGER & RESENTMENT

Anger is a healthy and natural response experienced by everyone. Anger can range from mild frustration to intense rage. It’s a biological response to get our attention to act upon survival. Anger is the mind and body’s response to a perceived threat. It is an automatic response to the body’s “fight or flight” system, which increases muscle tension, heart rate, and blood pressure. Anger can often occur with emotions such as sadness, guilt, and shame. While it is a normal response from the primitive part of the brain, it may lead to problems in relationships, work, and daily functioning. Once anger is activated it can continue when the event is no longer happening. Anger prevents the body from being in a balanced state of rest and healing, which potentially can lead to the decline of physical health. It is inevitable that this powerful emotion will occur, but through RRT, anger is shifted. You begin to react in ways that are calm and strategic, having the ability to control future reactions to anger with clarity.

ANXIETY

Anxiety is the most common issue that individuals struggle with throughout their life. It is typical to feel anxious or nervous when encountering stressful situations. Often anxiety may interfere with the ability to function in daily tasks, making it almost debilitating to engage in certain situations. This is not a reflection on that individual’s character, but the brain’s response to the environment. While there may not be any recognizable danger, the mind is misreading incoming information, as if there is danger, causing an immediate fight-or-flight mode. Anxiety continues to increase as the nervous system begins to automatically respond to a perceived threat and on a much deeper level of conscious awareness. It is a complicated system of thoughts, emotions, sensations, and situations, and yet easily disabled with the RRT process. With RRT the mind understands on a deeper level that there is no threat, and it no longer responds to thoughts and sensations. When the mind understands the difference, it will reserve the fight-or-flight response for situations that actually warrant it. Anxiety is no longer experienced in unnecessary situations.

PTSD

PTSD can occur when someone experiences a shocking, scary, or dangerous event. It is natural to feel fear as a response to the event, which isn’t necessarily catastrophic. Any past event that caused emotional upset, discomfort, or pain can be big or small. It’s likely that everyone may encounter some sort of trauma throughout life, which may cause the world to feel unsafe and unpredictable. It changes the way you view yourself, those around you, and they way we operate in the world. The event may be over, but can continue to have an underlying effect, even if there is no conscious memory. The traumatic memory has an effect on the emotional part of our mind, and our mind has a tendency to attach meaning to negative events distorting beliefs about self and the event.

Past traumatic events leave a disturbing imprint on our brain.  The imprint is chronically activated or becomes activated when re-exposed to similar trauma. The imprint can then cause us to be triggered or relive the feelings of this experience. PTSD symptoms may include feelings of anxiety, depression, obsessive thoughts, sadness, and other negative feelings as a result of unresolved trauma. RRT is gentle and painless in the treatment for trauma. Trauma can be cleared and you don’t have to relive painful events. During the process you are emotionally present and disturbing past events are eliminated resulting in a dramatic improvement and emotional freedom. Many report a sense of peace, clarity, and energy.

INSOMNIA & NIGHMARES

Individuals with difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep have a tendency to also be fatigued, experience low energy, have irritability, and feel depressed, which decreases the ability to function throughout the day. Emotional stress can leave impressions on the mind, causing the emotional mind to become overly active. This makes it difficult to fall asleep or go into the REM sleep cycle, which is needed for a restful night of sleep. Whether or not the exact experience causing the sleeplessness can be recalled, events that were disturbing may be cleared through the RRT process. After RRT, many clients report having slept more hours and having a deeper sleep, waking up feeling refreshed.

FEARS & PHOBIAS

Fears and phobias come in all different forms: fear of flying, fear of animals and insects, or even fear of a particular object or situation. Fears and phobias are common among many people, and can cause significant physical or psychological impairment in everyday functioning. This can occur in the presence of the feared situation, object, or just when thinking about it.

Prior experiences leave impressions on the way that the mind reads information about the particular feared situation or object. Whether or not we know what specifically caused the fear, primitive or emotion mind perceives there is danger. This causes sensations and feelings of anxiety, even though there may not be any reasonable danger. These irrational fears leave us with the inability to enjoy life in the here and now. RRT restructures the way the information is stored by working with all facets of mind, both the cognitive and the emotional. RRT eliminates the emotional impact of the feared situation or object. RRT resolves the root cause of fears and phobias, and leaves the ability for automatic action towards necessary threats. Resulting in being clear and present to engage in daily experiences, even when approached with that which was unnecessarily feared.

SEXUAL TRAUMA

Sexual trauma occurs for both women and men in forms of rape, child molestation, incest, sexual assault, and military sexual trauma. It occurs once or is a series of events. Many who experience sexual trauma never tell anyone about the abuse. Survivors of sexual trauma may also have depression, anxiety, anger, substance abuse, night terrors, and often triggered by anyone or anything reminding them of the sexually traumatic experience.

An impression is left on the way that the brain is processes information as a result of a traumatic experience. Painful emotions and reactions occur because the mind is misreading information about the sexual trauma as if it is still taking place. The RRT process helps the mind understand that the experience of sexual trauma remains in the past and there is no danger occurring at that moment. The fight-or-flight response, or emotional attachment, to the memory of the sexual trauma will be released. RRT resolves feelings of guilt, shame, fear, anger, and depression to completely clear and restore the mind.
